Friday, the Purdue Memorial Union’s North and South Ballrooms were packed with Greater Lafayette community members and students to experience wines from across the world. The event, Wines on the Wabash, gave wine connoisseurs and inexperienced drinkers alike a chance to “try before you buy.”
Admittance was just $45 and in exchange, patrons were automatically put into a raffle and had full access to over 200 wines, various appetizers and live music.
25 tables were stationed across the rooms and recommendations were given out by the servers. All volunteered their time and most also doubled as vendors of the displayed wine.
One student gives his reactions to the wine tasting event citing his favorite and explaining the importance of attending such events.
